We have some friends who home school, so we occasionally hitch along for their field trips. We went exploring at Amy's Farm -
We checked out a cow . . .
And veggies . . .
The area with goats, pigs, etc . . .
Groomed a horse and cow . . .
Milked a cow . . .
Played in the farm kids' play area . . .
And just plain looked cute and had a blast.
We're going back again soon for a science class - on farm machines and barn owls. Should be interesting.
Welcome to The O'Leary-Hauser Blog!
Written with love, honesty, and humor to let you have a peek into our lives as the boys grow and have many exciting years of fun, adventure, love, and happiness (with hopefully minimal mishaps).

Lake Arrowhead
Our first trip as a family to the "snow."
Garrett thought there would be snowdrifts all over the place - and was disappointed that there wasn't a ton of snow - still enough to sled though w/ the addition of the man made stuff.
The hotel was super nice - but for some unknown reason they let about 100 fraternity and sorority kids stay there Fri night and of course they all converged on the suite across the all from us - I kindly waited until midnight to make the first call - but after the clock hit 2 AM and we could still hear them we were a little fed up. Needless to say we got a free night's stay. Because there was a wedding the next night - we made it a one night trip.
Sounds like a bummer, but it worked out PERFECTLY. We went to Lake Arrowhead Village Fri afternoon and PM and then went sledding at Snow Valley the next morning, ate lunch at a fab local place called Blondie's afterwards, and then checked out at 2 and drove back to LA while the kids napped.
Super fun first trip to the snow - next year - ski lessons . . .
