First - this entry makes me think about all that has happened in the past year - there is a post way, way back about Garrett in the 2011 Winter Show. So much has happened since the last Winter Show. Crazy.
Here is the Room 5 Show in splendid pictures - I have video of both numbers and will add it if I can ever get it to transfer from my phone!
Pre Show madness
Brady hanging out outside during part of the Show
Garrett's part of the Show
Post Show showing off his special t-shirt (Garrett did the routine MANY, MANY times on the bed after we got home).
Next day - three hour nap - too bad mommy was running around catching up on things and not taking a three hour nap too.
Bonus - mommy and Brady left after Garrett's performances and daddy and Garrett stayed for the finale - so Garrett could participate in the finale and watch the performances after his class. Brady slept in his clothes and didn't move from 8:30 PM until 8 AM. Ahhhhhh. Peace and quiet (for an hour until Garrett came home and jumped on the bed for at least an hour reliving the performance).
Welcome to The O'Leary-Hauser Blog!
Written with love, honesty, and humor to let you have a peek into our lives as the boys grow and have many exciting years of fun, adventure, love, and happiness (with hopefully minimal mishaps).

This Is Fun!
Brady Kai started My Gym last week. Garrett LOVED going to these classes and Brady is digging it too.
How could you not have fun climbing, dancing, running, kicking balls, sliding, and swinging??!! I am surprised I could even take photos - Brady flies all over the entire gym and poor old mommy can barely keep up.

No. 88
Mommy, Garrett, and Brady went to one of the local fire houses for an impromptu visit (with Garrett appropriately dressed in his fire chief outfit).
It was great - we saw (and sat in) several fire trucks, a fire chief's car, and an ambulance; watched a fire truck returning and being backed into place in the fire house, watched ladder repairs and the re-installation on the ladder truck; saw the water truck return and being serviced (and got to hold the fire hose!); and heard the 5 PM alarm test. Whew. Quite the visit.
Don't worry Brady - for safety reasons you were in mommy's arms most of the time, but you were definitely taking it all in and in the mix.
We had a little difficulty leaving - Garrett was a little hesitant at first and then did not want to stop exploring and asking questions - OK - believe me I get it - we touched the jaws of life, a chainsaw, got to use fireman Lira's Leatherman, measured the fire truck's tires . . . fun stuff. Fireman Lira has two kids too, so he helped mommy by explaining how fireman need to grow big and strong so they need to go home and eat growing food and how they need to have good listening ears to be able to help people.
Thanks! Without that little bit of help, we might still be there . . . .

LACMA
Another trip to LACMA with the boys - culture for mom and dad and walking around huge gallery spaces for G and B.
Fun stuff like riding the huge elevator used to move the exhibits in and out, the big escalator to the third floor, wearing the NextGen passes on lanyards, sitting on stools to check out the exhibits in the long glass cases . . .
Plus - mom and dad got to see the Surrealist drawings.
Double bonus - dinner with Uncle Ed at Rays. Brady rolled in with his own food. Not the most patient of diners.
Plus - Garrett was inspired to take artsy photos with mommy's phone . . .

Brady "Reading"
Who knew reading could be so physical? Brady had a blast in the various stages of "reading."
I know - lunch would have been ready a lot faster if mommy wasn't taking so many photos.
My response - stop being so darn cute.
