The HMN homeschooling cooperative usually meets on Mon, Wed, and Fri when Garrett is at WHPS, but they did an art day on a Tues, so we hopped on the chance to join in. Who doesn't have fun squirting paint all over a canvas (and your shoes?!!).
Also nice to have Garrett exposed to a male teacher for once - Make Art has been so fun. Plus, his kid Henry is super nice and Garrett really likes him. Super bummer that teacher Darryl and his wife are having another baby (that's not the part that is the bummer), so the six week class will be it until spring. We talked to Darryl and we may host when it starts up again. Darryl is super chill, very creative, and great with the kids. His class rocks because you can get there when you want, stay as long as you want (we have stayed an extra hour a few times and brought lunch to eat afterwards), and you can create, run around and play, and then go back to creating.
Garrett is so funny - he asked me last week if Darryl loves him. I told him we were just getting to know Darryl, but I bet he thinks he is super cool. Funny kid.
